It happens every year...the leaves start falling, you go for a nice scenic drive to see the colors. Raking leaves up with the family and jumping in the piles, then all of a sudden it's snowing!
You're outside scraping ice off the windows, and slipping on the road with your bare tires.
It is time to get your car ready for winter, before it's too late! I've composed a simple list to make it easier to get done:
It is time to get your car ready for winter, before it's too late! I've composed a simple list to make it easier to get done:
1. Check your tires. Tires are in my opinion one of the most important things for winter. If you can't get 1/4 of a penny in the tread, consider looking for a new set of tires. Tire Rack has good prices on tires, and a very large selection.
2. Make sure your battery is at optimal performance. If your car cranks over slowly, grab a new battery...it'll only get worse with the cold, and you don't want to be stranded somewhere in the winter.
3. Coolant. Check your coolant level, make sure it is topped off. Very important.
