I wrote a blog post on this car while it was still a concept, and now Subaru has released the information!
The car will have a turbo-charged 2.0l boxer engine with a 6-speed manual transmission standard. There will be a 6-speed automatic available as an option. The engine puts out 200 horsepower and 151 ft lbs of torque. The curb weight is 2,762 lbs...that comes to about 1 horsepower for every 14 pounds.
The wheels are 17 x 7.0-inch 15-spoke dark gray-finished aluminum-alloy wheels with machined accents, and I think they look good on this car.
My overall impression is a little less excited than I was, as they changed the look a little. I like the front mostly, but the back is not my favorite. The overall experience however should be lots of fun, this car seems like it should be fast and handle corners very well. I guess we'll have to wait a little longer to see.
